Noraxon USA is a global leader in human movement metrics and biomechanics research that has called Scottsdale home since 2011. Over the years, this innovative company has equipped researchers, clinicians, sports scientists and ergonomists with industry-leading tools that deliver research-grade biomechanics data. From universities and hospitals to elite sports performance labs and cutting-edge ergonomic design firms, Noraxon’s technology powers insights into how people move.
Noraxon outgrew its 4,469-square-foot office suite at 15770 N. Greenway Hayden Loop. The team saw an opportunity for expansion and improvement when the neighboring 3,544-square-foot suite became available. By combining the two suites, Noraxon seized the chance to not only increase its footprint but upgrade its work environment and enhance testing capabilities.
The Vision: Innovation Meets Function
Noraxon’s primary goal for the office expansion was to create a more spacious and functional lab that not only showcased the company’s state-of-the-art movement monitoring and analysis products but would also allow the team to operate the equipment within the same walls.
Project Timeline
LaunchPM was engaged early in the process to bring this vision to life and oversee every stage of the transformation. Planning began in March 2025, with construction underway beginning in August and completing in October 2025.
Combining the two suites into one unified 8,000+ square-foot workspace was a detailed undertaking. It entailed the construction and tenant improvement of the additional space as well as a refresh of the existing office with new flooring, paint and finishing touches to create a cohesive look. LaunchPM managed budget development and design oversight, along with construction management of the project from start to finish. This included:
- Vendor coordination for furniture & equipment coordination, Artwork, AV, IT, RO, and more
- Signage & branding
- Move Support
- Post-construction support
As the project managers overseeing each phase, LaunchPM represented Noraxon and helped assemble the project team, working closely with design and construction The team included Breise Construction serving as the general contractor, Ware Malcomb providing architectural design, Arizona Corporate Interiors as the furniture vendor and RedPointe IT for IT and audio visual. Spotlight Signs produced signage and branding materials.
Smart Space That Reflects Smart Tech
The new and improved office headquarters features eight private offices, including an executive office suite, a state-of-the-art lab, a conference room, reception area, employee break room and kitchen, plus a flex co-working space. Bold branded custom vinyl graphics adorn the conference room and lab doors, showcasing the Noraxon logo.
Tackling Challenges
No project goes without some challenges. The biggest hurdle the team faced during the Noraxon buildout was with the installation of the flooring in the lab. The
design plan featured rubber flooring throughout the space. When LaunchPM realized the equipment required solid, stable surfaces for accurate data collection, they needed to consider using a new material or find a solution.
LaunchPM worked with the construction team to find a workable resolution. Cutting precision-sized boxes into the rubber flooring allowed each piece of equipment to sit securely on the concrete while retaining the installed rubber flooring.
Working hand-in-hand with Noraxon and the construction team, LaunchPM helped implement the company’s vision for a modern workplace designed for high performance — just like their products.
