LaunchPM first worked with and completed a tenant improvement project for Make-A-Wish Foundation in 2015. At that time, the nonprofit organization was moving into new offices in North Scottsdale.
Fast forward seven years to 2022, Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted LaunchPM once again to help the organization rethink their existing office space. Quite a bit changed in that seven-year period, including the structure of how the team now functions (post-COVID). Make-A-Wish needed a space that could better accommodate its current operations. The project included the renovation of some of the existing office space to create a new floorplan layout and the addition of new workstations, private offices and lounge areas.
The nonprofit specifically needed more administrative and conference room space, as well as additional workspaces for its interns. As a nonprofit, Make-A-Wish Foundation wanted to utilize its existing space, but use it more efficiently and effectively. The goal was to make changes with minimum costs incurred.
LaunchPM worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to develop a plan that would address their changing needs. The plan included splitting a conference room into two rooms and retrofitting the space to accommodate staff. This allowed Make-A-Wish to move its intern team to a larger workspace. In addition, the family room space on the first floor was transformed into a staff conference room.
Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children diagnosed with a critical illness. Make-A-Wish started in Phoenix with a little boy named Christopher who was battling leukemia. Christopher’s wish was to be a police officer, and in 1980, the Phoenix community came together to make that happen. Since then, the organization has granted more than 550,000 wishes globally and has changed millions of lives.
